If you have ever dreamed of going to the Olympic Games?  Modern Pentathlon is a sport that could help you make it a reality.

At each Olympics, Great Britain is allowed to send two men and two women: Of the nine Pentathletes selected for the last three Olympics, six began their sporting career in the Pony Club and four have gone on to win medals.

Could you be one of the Great Britain’s future medallists?

Bath5 Modern Pentathlon Club is running training days for Pony Club members, on 5th December, to introduce athletes to the Pentathlon and help develop existing skills. During the day we will also provide you with training and competition connections within the area you live in for you to continue your training back at home.

The club was set up to offer the chance for anyone, from beginner to seasoned athlete, to take up the sport of Modern Pentathlon.  So we have planned the weekend to help athletes make the most of the training:

1. •Sunday 5th December/Sunday 20th March - for all Pony Club members, from the age of 13 upwards, who have competed at any level in the Pony Club.

3. •Saturday 19th March - for all Pony Club members who competed in the 2009 Inter-Regional Championships in Scotland or the National Tetrathlon Championships at Hartpury
   

The cost of the day is £30 and will include training in shooting/fencing/swimming and running (including the new Combined run/shoot format). 

Among the coaches for the weekend will be Olympic team coaches, Olympic Medallists and other members of the Great Britain Modern Pentathlon team.

If you would like to join us, please complete the forms (available on this page) and return them, with a cheque (made payable to ‘Bath 5 MPC’) for the full amount to the address at the top of this letter, as soon as possible. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

NB: Please note that we have decided to combine the weekend into a one day event to maximise numbers at each session.  Anyone who has applied for the session on Saturday 5th December, has been allocated a place at the session on Sunday 4th December.
